Guy in womens halloween costume? Funny or not?

Womens Halloween Costumes
rosco_300 asked:

I am a guy, and considering dressing up in a womens costume this year for halloween. I personally think it would be hilarious if I were to wear a wedding dress, or rainbow brite outfit, or even a wonder woman outfit. I fear that the general public may not find the humor in the costume, so I want to know what you think. Thanks.

My guy-friend did it last year..
He wore an old lady outfit, with a big hand bag, glasses, and a grey bun wig.. it was hilarious.
Go for it!

For Halloween you are almost always safe and the public at large typically appreciates a man in woman’s clothing at that time of year. Depending on your budget and how much you’re willing to do, wearing a woman’s costume instead of just women’s regular clothing will be more effective. So, specifics:

1) Use Nair, Neet or some similar product to remove all of your arm, leg and chest hair (I would advise this as opposed to shaving to save yourself some nicks and cuts).

2) You’re going to need some padding, cinching and tucking to achieve the female form. This website will give you advice on how to do that specifically:

3) Schedule an appointment with your local Macy’s or MAC makeup counter for your makeup. Don’t worry about what they think. They’re more interested in the sale than who they’re selling to. Same goes for the next item.

4) Go to the costume stores in your area and/or department stores and actually try on the clothes you want to wear. You’re already going to be spending a little money, so it’s better to get something that fits right than something that’s ill-fitting. It will also give you an opportunity to be sure you feel comfortable in the costume. You will almost guaranteed NEVER look like the models on the package, so it’s better that you try it on and decide if it fits right and you think you’ll feel comfortable wearing it and going out in it.

5) If you choose a costume that requires high heels, I recommend getting them as soon as possible and spend some time every evening at home practicing walking in them. Walking in heels can be difficult and requires practice to get it right. You also don’t want to be trying to break in new shoes the first time you wear them out.

The important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself. Feel confident and don’t worry about what people think. :)
Happy Halloween!!
